Jay Leno's 1957 Corvette
I'm in Los Angeles this weekend and spent some time in Burbank yesterday at the semi-famous AeroBooks and AutoBooks store. Didn't run into Jay, but here's a bit of Corvette fun with the world's most car crazy star!

Corvettes & Coffee Pictures
Plenty of fun this warm July morning! We got together with our ACE friends at the Bashas in Litchfield Park at 8:00 and by 9:00 we were on the road for the traditional bit of spirited driving that characterizes most ACE functions. A well planned route gave us over 20 miles of running on a very deserted parkway through the desert. Rumor has it that some speed limits were broached. Lunch at Bobby Q's just off the 17 and Dunlap wrapped up a terrific morning.

Corvettes to the Moon!
We've reached July and in a few weeks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. As we all know, Corvettes were the favorite car of the astronauts in the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs. Here's a great video from Motor Trend with rockets, Corvettes and a great astronaut! This was filmed a few years ago, but is still fun to watch. Here's the description and the link.
In the Sixties, Chevy's star-spangled Corvette ruled as the undisputed car of choice for NASA's pioneering star voyagers. Now, nearly 46 years after his historic Apollo 7 flight, astronaut (and Corvette aficionado) Walt Cunningham joins host Arthur St. Antoine to revisit the shrines of America's space program in Chevy's latest and greatest ground rocket, the awesome, all-new 2014 C7 Vette. From the towering rocket gantries of Florida's Kennedy Space Center to the hallowed ground of Houston's Mission Control, Cunningham and St. Antoine return to NASA's glory days--also taking time to savor some classic Vettes from the star-struck Go-Go that was 1960s America.
And another video from the Top Gear guys.
